In Our October 2016 News letter Carolyn wrote:

“As well as taking on various roles in my local church and community, the door opened for me to take on a national role within the Methodist Women in Britain, a network of women throughout the Methodist Church. My role is area officer for Britain, and I represent British  Methodist Women as a world church representative. (I) would value your prayerful support that I might speak out with boldness on important issues. The role takes me away some of the time but the remainder of my time I want to be as involved as possible locally.

I am passionate about helping people grow in their discipleship both through individual pastoral care and prayer ministry, as well as through preaching and teaching. I have a heart for evangelism and mission at home and overseas, and love finding ways of engaging with people outside the church and helping them discover the love of Jesus. In the past I’ve had a lot of experience in working with children and families in all sorts of contexts and more lately feel God is leading me into ministry amongst women.

My favourite Bible verse was given to me at my baptism  shortly after I became a Christian. It is Philippians 4:13 which says ‘I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength’. I have proved this promise to be true as God has done some amazing things in my life and enabled me to do things I once would have thought were impossible and for that I give Him all the glory.

I am looking forward to discovering more about all the exciting things happening at Ivybridge and seeking God as to where I might be able to get involved and use some of my gifts in ministry amongst you.”
